I Want to Know
Whether you are spiritual or religious, we welcome you. Spend some time with us. Relax and enjoy our hospitality, the beauty of our sanctuary, and the simple gift of communing together. We encourage you to ask questions and to share your experiences on your own spiritual journey whenever you are moved to do so.
We are a liturgical church. Therefore, if you come from a Catholic or Orthodox background, you may be familiar with the way we worship. If you are from a Protestant tradition, you’ll notice differences in format and style, but we believe you will soon feel right at home. If you are from an Evangelical background, you will, perhaps, notice significant differences in the worship service that may be very new to you. Those of us, who also come from other traditions, now see the Episcopal Church as our spiritual home. We hope you come to feel that way, too.
The presence of children and their families is a godsend to every church. Their voices and their energy uplift us all. A changing table for infants and toddlers is available, as well as spaces and materials for quiet activities.
During the worship service you are welcome to sit wherever you feel comfortable. On a small table to the left of the entrance to the sanctuary, you’ll find a stack of programs containing an order of worship, including the appointed readings for the day and the hymns. The hymns are found in Hymnal 1982 and in Lift Every Voice and Sing (LEVAS) located in each pew along with the Book of Common Prayer.
Assisted listening devices are available upon request.
What About Receiving Communion?
All are welcome to the Lord’s table. Yes, all of you!
