Maine Potato Blossom Festival
Fort Fairfield also hosts the annual Maine Potato Blossom Festival, one of the largest festivals in all of northern Maine. The nine-day event draws thousands of people from throughout the region to celebrate the town’s agricultural roots and enjoy numerous activities including concerts, a large parade, artist exhibitions, athletic contests and a spectacular fireworks display over the Aroostook River. The events begin on the second weekend of July with a town-wide yard sale among other activities – with the parade, street dances and fireworks taking place on the third weekend of July.
County Bluegrass
Do you love the idea of camping out beneath the stars to the sound of Bluegrass music? County Bluegrass, located in Fort Fairfield, is the largest public concert venue in the area that features a large camping area and several Bluegrass music festivals each year.
Northern Maine Community Trails
Northern Maine Community Trails, situated between Fort Fairfield and Presque Isle is a 750-acre beautiful facility that hosts a network of year-round trails offering 20 miles of hiking and biking, 15 miles of world-class Nordic skiing, disc golf and open space for public use.
Aroostook Valley Country Club
Aroostook Valley Country Club is a semi-private club located in a beautiful rural setting overlooking the Aroostook River between the small towns of Ft. Fairfield, Maine and Four Falls, New Brunswick. The club is unique, in that it sits directly on the US/Canadian border. Visitors are welcome to visit (April-October), play golf, practice on our newly improved driving range or enjoy our large putting green. Or simply relax and enjoy the great menu in the clubhouse or on the spacious, canopied deck.

You can see the McIntosh One-Room Schoolhouse, built in 1848.
The Blockhouse Museum is a 1976 replica of the original structure from 1839 that served to prevent transport of lumber into Canada during the “Bloodless Aroostook War”.
The historic “Friends Church’ is the oldest still-standing church in Fort Fairfield. It was built in 1859-1860 and according to history was part of the Underground Railroad before and during the Civil War.
